Depression

It scribbles my walls.

I open my door and her sadness floods.

She lies on the couch and we watch it
rippling the ceiling.

Her parents carry twin oceans.
They step carefully
balancing closed glass faces.

I escape to morning
wonder it does not spill our street
slow the traffic
still the birds
